Putfile have banned the Republic of Singapore. What happened was something like this. Some australian drug trafficker was arrested and convicted in 2002. He was hanged a couple of days back 2 Dec 2005, despite a plea for clemency from the United Nations.

Whoa, i can really see how that makes sense. I can just the thought forming in the head of the Putfile Admin. It must go something like this.

"Damn those Singaporeans! How dare they impose their own laws in their own country! I know! We'll ban all the Singaporean users! Surely without our incredible web service they will be thrown back into the stone age! People will be driven to insanity without a place to download our mindlessly stupid attention-seeking, mildly illegal videos, and upload their own!"

I mean WTH? Why do these people care?! Singapore is our country and we have the right to have our own laws. The man was a (expletive) drug traffcker. They say the reason for this is that he was trying to clear his brother's debt. You know, maybe you havent heard of this, but there are legal ways of doing that! Dont get me wrong, i'm prolife, and i think its really sad that this guy had to die, but come on! He broke the law! Besides,Banning us wont bring him back!

And personally, how dare anyone say that the laws of Singapore are barbaric. I mean, i'm quite liberal, and i don't agree with somethings that are going on in Singapore, but I've never once thought such a ridiculous thing. Strict laws are the only thing keeping Singapore from turning into a branch office of Heck!(Swearing is bad,kids. )


But the stupidest partof the whole thing happened when they set up a forum topic to discuss the issue and loads of people, Sporean or otherwise, condemned the admin. So, they've destroyed that forum topic. Haha. Can't you just smell the Freedom.

Of course, the real joke is that i dont know what the heck putfile is anyway. I've never been there. But, like scores of other Singaporeans, attracted by this outright display of unfairness against us, i dropped by to complain. But, after going through 13 pages of angry replies, when i was about to drop in my own two cents, they just deleted the entire thing. Now, without a proper vent, Im blogging about it, only now I'm toning down my rant a bit because of the who never know who is reading these things. But, if you really want tot know the original arguement, just go down to your neighbourhood coffeeshop, preferably one full of dangerous-looking gangsters and stop blinking.(think about it).

I'll probably send this post to Acxis too, since Ken Tay isnt here to say anything.
