Prologue

Ramblings, Ravings, Musings and Mutterings of a charlatan....

Regarding

The Charlatan. A Writer. A Clown. Sometimes a Barnstormer. Vaudevillian. Pirate. I'm a idealistic cynic, silent writer, trapped traveller... God help me, I'm complusively paradoxical.

Well, it’s been a long year. And now that its about to end, I better follow the legions of my blogging brethren and post a ‘end-of-year’ emo post. However, I just don’t do emo. At least, not unintentionally. Wait. Does that make sense? The only time I’ll be emo is when I want people to think that I’m emo. Is this one of those times?

Sorry, mind wandering for a while there.

Okay. Let’s start this thing. First of all, I would really like to thank the brotherhood of 4.16 Enoch, formerly known as 3.16 Habakkuk.

Ah 2005… what a year. So many mistakes on my part. Most unnoticed I hope. But then, so many dreams, so many stories. So many good things. So many memories, good and bad. Well mostly good… Mdm Dharma once said that these years are the best years of our lives. That it’s never going to get any better and it’s only going to get a whole lot worse. She was right.

From OEP 2004 in Shanghai to this year’s LDP (both which turned out a lot better than they sounded).

To the brave new concepts of LA movies and FAG with its incredible possibilities and its desperate need for a better acronym.

From the idyllic bliss of ISO Year 1…to the hectic hell of ISO Year 2.

And from the simple pleasures of a POD lesson in which no real work is done.

To CASL and the beauty of planning… and never getting around to the real work ‘

To all our teachers, who do a lot more than they’re paid to.

To Acxis, and all the other 416 blogs, not to mention the recently reanimated forum, The only thing that will keep us together. (Aside from the whole, 'we go to the same school thing')

To movies marathons and soccer in Sentosa

To ACS in general, where it can only get better, no matter how good it already is.

My time with you guys has really changed me, and in a good way. From my point of view at least. HAAHahHAhahahahahAHhA. But seriously, you guys (classmates and teachers) have taught me to become more like what I really am. I’m (relatively) loud, (dangerously) random and no longer (randomly) dangerous. Also, I’ve found my way much closer to God and general peace of mind.

Plus I know how to play soccer and DotA, now, achievements that cannot be dismissed.

Another group I’d like to thank is the Drama Club. Of course, the chances that you guys are reading this are minimal, so I can’t really go into details. Besides, we still have a couple more years as a club and I’ll do a more emo post then, provided I haven’t died of IB.

Also, I would like to thank God, who has helped me through good times and bad, and who has shown me the light in the darkness.

Of course there are a lot of individuals I would like thank too this year, but I’m really bad at gratitude and goodbyes, especially when they come hand in hand. Besides, surely, this is not truly the end and surely we shall meet again. Besides, I really hate typing one line paragraphs.
